Original Airdate: October 25, 1986 (taped October 19)
From Atlanta, Georgia; Your Hosts are Tony Schiavone and David Crockett
Brad Armstrong is out, and notes he has an open contract for Starrcade, so come and get it
Brad Armstrong and Tim Horner v Brodie Chase and Bill Tabb: Armstrong puts this one away at 2:12. DUD
Jimmy Valiant is out, and feels confident Big Mama won’t end up bald at Starrcade. Yeah, well, he felt the same before he ended up bald
Jimmy Garvin v John Savage: Garvin with the brainbuster at 0:23. Well, loved him in The Deer Hunter. DUD
Tony is in the control center for the Starrcade Report. The big news this week is the signing of the ‘Skywalkers’ scaffold match between the Midnight Express and the Road Warriors
Recently the Horsemen tailed Dusty Rhodes to his office, where they attacked him, and delivered a savage beatdown outside of the building. This was a great segment, and having it shot verite style, on a camcorder, was an incredible touch that added a lot of realism
Dusty recently sat down to talk about Magnum TA’s recent auto injury, and how Nikita Koloff called him up, and they talked for hours on the phone, and found a new respect for each other. So much so, that Dusty wants to team with Nikita. Well, this felt abrupt, but I get why they needed to pivot so quickly
Arn Anderson and Ole Anderson v Randy Barber and Clement Fields: Joined in progress here, and Ole gets the submission with an armbar at 1:12 shown. I think we can safely peg this as a DUD
Jim Cornette is out, and fuming over having to put his boys in a Scaffold match against the Road Warriors at Starrcade
Manny Fernandez and Rick Rude v Kent Glover and Alan Martin: Rick with the neckbreaker at 0:53. Afterwards, they swing by the desk, and Paul Jones promises to further ruin Jimmy Valiant’s life by making Big Mama bald. DUD
BUExperience: Big news this week, but not a big episode.
