Nitro Girls
Gene Okerlund and Bobby Heenan are in the garage, awaiting the arrival of Bill Clinton. Two limousines pull up, but it’s not a presidential motorcade, instead it’s nWo Hollywood the nWo Wolfpac. Giant, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and Konnan all jump out of the cars, and we get a brawl until officials can intervene
Juventud Guerrera v Kaz Hayashi: A reversal sequence to start, as Eric Bischoff shows up at the announce position, and we cut away from the match to listen to him. He promises that Clinton will be here tonight (though, they keep simply calling him ‘the President’ or ‘the President of the United States,’ but never mentioning him by name). Back to the match, as Kaz dumps Guerrera to the outside, and Kaz follows to whip him into the guardrail out there. Back in, Kaz continues to dominate, and a criss cross ends in Guerrera missing a dropkick, and going flying out of the ring. Kaz is on him with a dive, but a cross corner whip gets reversed. Guerrera tries a corner splash, but misses, and Kaz tilt-a-whirl backbreakers him, ahead of a dropkick. Kaz with a few knees, and a somersault senton splash follows. Kaz goes to a mat-based abdominal stretch, but Guerrera fights free, so Kaz chokes him down in the corner. A reversal sequence allows Guerrera a spinkick, and a headscissor takedown sends Kaz to the outside. Guerrera dives after him with a springboard flying bodyblock, and he whips Kaz into the rail out there to return the favor from earlier. Inside, Kaz wins a criss cross with a clothesline, so Guerrera tries a cradle, but only gets two, before getting clobbered again. Kaz with a brainbuster for two, but a dropkick misses, and Guerrera inverted suplexes him across the ropes. A reversal sequence ends in Guerrera countering a sunset flip for two, with Kaz reversing the cradle for two, as Ernest Miller stomps out. Kaz takes Guerrera up for a superplex, but Juvi blocks, and dives with a flying headscissors. Guerrera tries for the scoop sitout brainbuster, but Kaz blocks. Kaz hooks a rollup, but Miller distracts the referee, so no count. That allows Sonny Onoo to run in and kick Kaz in the face, and Guerrera reverses the rollup at 12:15. They were having a good match, but there was way too much else going on here. ** ¼

Alex Wright v Barry Horowitz: Wright demands that the fans sit in ‘complete silence’ to aid in his concentration here. Against Barry Horowitz?! Who is he, Skip? A bunch of guys who look like Secret Service agents walk around ringside during this, as if securing the area. You know, because Bill Clinton is totally on his way to the building. The Wolfpac’s music then kicks on, and the group comes out, so the match is called off at 3:15. “Well, so much for that match,” notes Larry. Yep. And what was so important? They throw out a challenge to nWo Hollywood for tonight. Don’t they do that every week? They couldn’t let Alex get his squash in? Bischoff comes out to respond, and he promises to put something together for later. DUD
Scott Norton v Lodi: Norton blitzes him, and ends it quickly with a powerbomb at 0:19. DUD
Tony brings Disciple out, and just as he starts talking about how he’s his own man, members of nWo Hollywood interrupt him. The B-squad, though, led by Horace. They beat him down, but Warrior makes the save. I didn’t realize he was still around this long after Halloween Havoc. And, in fact, this marked his last appearance
Backstage, the motorcade arrives, but the Secret Service agents push Gene, Bobby, and the cameras out of the way
Out in the arena, the aisle fills with agents, and Hail to the Chief starts playing. The announcers all stand in anticipation of the arrival of the President… but instead of Bill, we get Hulk. Hogan starts by saluting Jesse Ventura (fresh off of his victory in the Minnesota gubernatorial race), and then announces his candidacy for President of the United States in the 2000 election. They were making a huge deal about this at the time, probably grasping at mainstream recognition straws

Konnan rap video clips
Bret Hart is out, and he thinks Diamond Dallas Page ought to mail him the WCW United States title belt, since his career is obviously over after the beating Bret gave him last week. Hart also reveals a new stated goal: take every member of the Wolfpac out

Eddie Guerrero v Rey Mysterio Jr: Eddie tries to recruit him again, but Rey rebuffs him once more. Rey dumps him to the outside early on, and teases a dive, but Guerrero hides in the corner to prevent it. Back in, Guerrero tries to get a handshake, but Rey is too smart for him, so Guerrero simply pokes him in the eye instead. Rey with a headscissor takedown, so Eddie bails, and regroups. He nails Rey on the way back in, and he puts the boots to him from there. Guerrero works Rey’s bad leg, until Rey manages to fight back, and lands a slingshot moonsault for two. Rey with a bow-and-arrow bulldog for two, but Eddie fights off the follow up move with a German suplex. Guerrero goes back to the leg, as Chavo Guerrero Jr shows up. He tries to steal one of Eddie’s LWO shirts, which draws Eddie’s attention, and Mysterio cradles at 11:54. This was pretty dull, with Eddie working the leg forever. Afterwards, the LWO run out to beat up Chavo, but Rey gets him out of there before too much damage is done. ½*
Konnan rap video (full version)
Bischoff is out again, and he summons a few accountants out, then beats them up for taking JJ Dillon’s side over his. This didn’t get any real reaction from the crowd, as Bischoff - while not a bad character - just didn’t have what Vince McMahon had to get this sort of thing over
Scott Steiner and Buff Bagwell are out, and since no referee will officiate a Steiner match after he started maiming officials up last week, Scott challenges anyone to come out and simply fight. Chris Adams answers the call, and promptly gets his ass kicked sideways, until Rick Steiner makes the save. Rick throws out a challenge to Scott and Buff for a tag match tonight

Lex Luger hype video
Rick Steiner and Judy Bagwell v Scott Steiner and Buff Bagwell: Judy comes out wearing Kenny Kaos’ tag title belt, so I guess we’re just pretending that whole thing never happened? The babyfaces clean house, so the heels run away, and there’s no match - with Scott and Buff crying that there’s no referee, so it’s not official. Rick throws out a challenge for the belts at World War 3, with the heels accepting. So… Judy Bagwell is now officially a tag champion? What a world.
Bret Hart v Konnan: Konnan stomps him down in the corner right away, and keeps on stomping until Bret bails. Konnan follows to feed him some rail, but Hart manages a headbutt drop to the groin on the way back in. Hart with a ropeburn, but Konnan blocks a 2nd rope pointed elbowdrop, and bootchokes the Hitman. The referee intervenes, allowing Hart to clips Konnan’s leg, and the Hitman works the part. Bret decides he wants to hurt him, and grabs a chair - beating on the leg for the DQ at 7:06. They keep announcing this guy as Bret Hart, but I haven’t seen Bret Hart in a while. Afterwards, Hart keeps unloading with the chair, so Lex Luger makes the save. ¼*
Gene brings WCW Television Champion Chris Jericho out, and he continues to mock Bill Goldberg, talking about how he’s beaten him four times, and Bill still hasn’t been able to get a win back. Backstage, we see Goldberg arriving at the building (at 2.5 hours into the show? Maybe this is Bret Hart?), and he hears Jericho’s ranting on the monitor. He goes out into the arena, and spears Chris in the aisle, then throws him into the rail for good measure
Lex Luger and Kevin Nash v Giant and Scott Hall: Nash and Hall start, and they exchange fluids to start. Nash gets control, but Hall blocks a snake-eyes, and slugs at the big man. Hall with a corner clothesline, but a second one gets blocked, and Nash short-clotheslines him, before tagging out. Lex unloads on Hall, and delivers an inverted atomic drop, followed by a clothesline. Hall goes to the eyes to allow him to tag out, and Giant pounds Luger into the corner. The heels work Lex over, as the action grinds to a halt through this dull heat segment. Hall looks for the crucifix powerbomb, but Luger backdrops him to block, and makes the hot tag! Nash runs wild, and Roseanne Barr the door! Nash looks to put Hall away, but Bret Hart runs in to clip Kevin’s leg for the DQ at 9:07. ¼*
BUExperience: This was a three hour show with only 44 minutes of in-ring time. A lot of talking this week. Apparently, they had some sort of special Tuesday Nitro the next night, which they also taped here, so I guess they were padding this show with lots of non-wrestling stuff since they needed to take another hour for the Tuesday show.
