Original Airdate: June 21, 1994

Your Host is Willie Watts

Various fans weigh in on Sabu v Cactus Jack

Rockin' Rebel v Tazmaniac: From Montgomeryville Pennsylvania on June 17. Tazmaniac dominates early, but he gets reversed into the ropes, and Rebel clotheslines him. Revel with a cross corner whip, and he tags Tazmaniac with a backelbow on the rebound. Rebel with a bodyslam, and he heads to the top, but Tazmaniac superplexes him off for the pin at 1:11. Not much to sink your teeth into here. Afterwards, Pitbull runs out to attack Tazmaniac, beating him with a chain ahead of their Dog Collar match at Hostile City Showdown. DUD

Tommy Cairo and Miss Peaches are ready to give Sandman some payback

Sandman and Woman think, perhaps, the only way to finish this deal is to, maybe, I dunno, full on murder Cairo. Okay, I think things have escalated a bit

Pitbull, Rebel, and Jason gloat about the attack on Tazmaniac, and are looking to parlay that into a TV title win later

ECW Champion Shane Douglas reminds us that Mr. Hughes is his bodyguard now, and that his ass his protected

Mr. Hughes v Chad Austin: From Montgomeryville Pennsylvania on June 17. Hughes quickly squashes him at 1:10. DUD

Paul E Dangerously is ready to unleash Sabu on Cactus Jack

Cactus Jack is happy to be in ECW, which he ‘didn’t even know exists’

Tod Gordon puts the referees on notice to let the Cactus/Sabu match go as hard as they want to go. Why not just make it officially a ‘no holds barred’ match, or whatever?

ECW Television Title Match: Mikey Whipwreck v Pitbull: From Montgomeryville Pennsylvania on June 17. Pitbull kick starts the match by kicking Mikey in the face, and they spill to the outside, where the challenger drops him front-first across the guardrail. Pitbull whips him into the rail next, and he cracks him with a chair for good measure. Inside, Mikey tries to mount a comeback, but gets smacked down, and Pitbull legdrops him. Pitbull with a savate kick, and he dumps Mikey to the outside for Rockin’ Rebel to abuse. Inside, Pitbull powerbombs him, and he gets the swinging full nelson on to win the title at 5:57. I didn’t expect them to switch the belt here. Afterwards, Jason celebrates with the belt, but Pitbull refuses to let off of the hold, and the referee reverses the decision. Yeah, that makes sense. The Whipwreck reign still has juice in it, I was surprised they were ready to end it already. The heels respond with a three-way beatdown on Mikey, so Tazmaniac tries making the save, but gets wrecked with the chain. ¼*

Backstage, Pitbull, Rebel, and Jason gloat again. They’re not even trying to make this look like it wasn’t taped at the same time as the earlier segment

ECW Tag Team Title Match: Public Enemy v Joel Hartgood and Dino Sendoff: From Montgomeryville Pennsylvania on June 17. The challengers run into the crowd right away, and when the Enemy chase, Axl and Ian Rotten attack them. They brawl back to the ring, and apparently Ian and Axl are getting the match instead? Not sure. Either way, the Enemy beat them with the title belts, and cut a promo on Terry Funk.

Outside the building, Public Enemy make their final push for Hostile City Showdown

Hostile City Showdown ad. Of note: I think this is the first time Cactus ever referred to himself as ‘Mrs. Foley’s baby boy’ on TV

Backstage, Sabu is held back as Dangerously cuts a go home promo on Cactus

Cactus reminds Sabu that while Sabu may be crazy, there is no one as crazy as Cactus Jack

BUExperience: Good go home episode for Hostile City Showdown. They did an especially great job of making the Sabu/Cactus main event feel like a complete ‘must see.’
