WWF WrestleMania III Countdown Show (March 29, 1987)

Original Airdate: March 29, 1987

Your Host is Craig DeGeorge from the control center

Quick clips from WrestleMania and WrestleMania 2 to start - specifically Andre the Giant winning the Bodyslam Challenge against Big John Studd, the Hogan/T v Piper/Orndorff main event, the British Bulldogs winning the tag title,  Andre winning the battle royal, and Hulk winning the cage match

Jimmy Hart catches up with Bob Uecker to explain that he’s going to send Roddy Piper to Hollywood bald

Mary Hart meets Andre and Bobby Heenan, and she wants to know why Andre needs a manager, since Hulk doesn’t. “You talk too much” ends that line of questioning in a hurry

Gene Okerlund runs down the card for WrestleMania III

Billy Jack Haynes’ entire career has been building to his showdown with Hercules. Might be time to take a good hard look at things

The Dream Team have got Dino Bravo with them going into WrestleMania. So, they’re going in at a handicap?

WWF Tag Team Champions The Hart Foundation and Danny Davis are laughing off the British Bulldogs and Tito Santana

A look back at the contract signing between WWF Champion Hulk Hogan and Andre. Everyone is amazing here. Heenan cuts a world class promo, Hulk perfectly gets over how edgy and nervous he is, and Andre is the perfect picture of calm menace

Various wrestlers weigh in with thoughts on the Hogan/Andre main event

Okerlund catches up with Uecker, who is very excited to be a part of ‘big time wrestling’

Okerlund catches up with Mary Hart. The content of these are getting thinner and thinner

WWF Intercontinental Champion Randy Savage/Ricky Steamboat feud review

Hart Foundation/Danny Davis v Bulldogs/Santana feud review

Roddy Piper/Adrian Adonis feud review

Uecker, Hart, Aretha Franklin, and Alice Cooper are ready to make sacrifices to be a part of WrestleMania

BUExperience: This was a pretty good countdown show, highlighting all the big happenings (while still giving glances to the smaller ones), and doing a good job of hard selling.
