The Midnight Express v Tommy Rich and Tim Horner: The NWA United States Tag Team title is not on the line, and this is the only first run bout on the show this week. Stan Lane starts with Rich, and they posture. Tags, and Horner dominates Bobby Eaton. Horner gets him in a headscissors hold, but Rich falls prey to the Express’ tag team expertise, and they cut the ring in half on him. Horner gets the hot tag, and Roseanne Barr the door! Horner with a bodypress on Eaton for two, and he unloads mounted punches, but Lane breaks it up, and hooks the leg at 11:47. ½*
BUExperience: So… did we just forget about the Gauntlet, then? Ross mentioned something about the show getting its timeslot moved around to accommodate the Goodwill Games, which probably has something to do with it… but you’d think they’d wait until after the Games to introduce the concept then.
