Original Airdate: August 2, 1997 (taped July 28)
From Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Your Hosts are Jim Ross and Jim Cornette
Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith v The New Blackjacks: Bulldog and Blackjack Windham start, and Windham delivers a pair of armdrags. I never appreciate how tall Windham is, but then you see him tower over Davey, and it kind of hits out. Tag to Blackjack Bradshaw for a big boot, so Smith passes to Owen. The Blackjacks dominate Owen, but Bradshaw gets into hot water, and worked over. Windham gets the tag and runs wild, but Davey helps Owen reverse a small package at 7:45. ¼*

Hunter Hearst Helmsley v Jesse James: Jesse dominates early on, and holds an armbar. Helmsley manages to dump Jesse to the outside, where Chyna is ready with a cheap shot, and that turns the tide. HHH goes to work, but Jesse hangs through, and makes a comeback. He goes for the pumphandle-slam, but Chyna distracts him, and HHH delivers a pedigree at 6:21. Boring stuff. ¼*
Mankind readies himself for the cage at SummerSlam
Brian Christopher v Ace Darling: Christopher has Jerry Lawler with him, cutting a promo on Darling, and then doing commentary on the match over the house microphone. Christopher with a flying legdrop at 3:59. ½*
President Gorilla Monsoon promises to name a Commissioner this Monday on RAW is WAR to help his office establish law and order in the increasingly lawless WWF. Great, what about that second referee in tag matches that you’ve been talking about for the last decade?
Brian Pillman v Lou Marconi: Pillman with a neckbreaker at 2:22. DUD
