ECW Hardcore TV (November 22, 1994)

Original Airdate: November 22, 1994

Your Host is Joey Styles

JT Smith and Stevie Richards v Hack Meyers and Chad Austin: From Philadelphia Pennsylvania on November 19. Hack beats up his own partner, allowing Richards to capitalize with a superkick on the beat up Austin, and then Smith delivers a bridging northern lights suplex at 0:37. DUD

Backstage, ECW Television Champion Jason is enjoying his title

ECW Television Title Match: Jason v Too Cold Scorpio: From Hamburg Pennsylvania on November 4. Tod Gordon boots Dean Malenko from ringside before the bell, despite Jason’s protests. That draws the Pitbulls out to stand by Jason instead, but Gordon boots them as well. Scorpio blitzes him, and a corner whip sets up a corner splash from the challenger. A bodyslam sets up a standing moonsault, but Scorpio pulls him up at two. A (sloppy) sidewalk slam sets up a 2nd rope legdrop - Scorpio again pulling him up at two. The referee gets bumped, allowing the Pitbulls to return, but Scorpio fights them off. He bodyslams Jason to set up a flying 450 splash, but there’s no referee. That allows Malenko to slide in, and he trades off with Scorpio. Scorpio manages to superkick him out of the ring, and a flying bodypress finishes Jason at 2:37. Scorpio was looking out of shape and sloppy here. ¼*

Backstage, Ron Simmons reminds us that he’s not here to mess around, he’s here to win the world title

ECW World Title Match: Shane Douglas v Jim Powers: From Hamburg Pennsylvania on November 4. Joined in progress, with Douglas in control. Shane lands a backelbow for two, and a hanging vertical suplex follows. Shane goes up, but Powers crotches him before he can dive, and Jim comes back with an atomic drop. Styles accidentally calls Powers 'Doink,' which is quite an insult to Matt Borne. Powers with an inverted version to set up a clothesline for two, and a pair of corner whips set up a clothesline for two. Powers with a kneelift for two, and a backslide is worth two. Jim keeps coming with a DDT for two, but Douglas fights him off. Powers tries a rollup to save it, but Shane blocks, and hooks the leg at 3:10 shown. I think we saw most of this, and it was decent. *

Backstage, Paul E. Dangerously clarifies that he respects the Malenko brothers, but that whatever they bring to the table is nothing compared to what Sabu and Tazmaniac can offer

Sabu and Tazmaniac v Dean Malenko and Joe Malenko: From Philadelphia Pennsylvania on November 19. Everyone slugs it out at the bell, and the Malenko’s get cleared out after some suplexes. It spills to the outside for more brawling, but the brothers manage to ground both guys as they come back into the ring. Sabu fights Joe off with a spinkick to put him on the outside, and Sabu is on him with a plancha. Inside, Dean hits Tazmaniac with a dropkick, and a rolling fireman carry slam gets him two. Tazmaniac fights him off in the corner, as Sabu dives at Joe again, but misses, and crashes into a table. In the ring, Tazmaniac cracks Dean with a chair, but Dean keeps fighting. Tazmaniac gutwrench suplexes him, and they trade dance partners. Dean hits Sabu with a dropkick, but Sabu blocks a piledriver. That allows Sabu to go up, but Dean follows for a superplex, only for Tazmaniac to pull him off. That allows the babyfaces a combo, and Tazmaniac adds a dragon suplex on Dean for the pin at 4:13. Short, but fun. Afterwards, Jason and the Pitbulls run in to attack Dangerously, but 911 makes the save. The craziness continues, however, as Public Enemy show up to spike piledrive Sabu, and they put Paul through a table for good measure. All this allows the Malenko's to recover, and they try to break Tazmaniac’s arm, as the Enemy destroy Sabu. * ¼

BUExperience: The final segment was great, the rest less so, but it certainly wasn’t a bad episode by any means.
