From Gainesville, Georgia; Your Hosts are Jim Ross and Jim Cornette
Brian Pillman v Enforcer: Gosh, this parade of masked dudes with random names continues. Pillman with a flying bodypress at 3:14. DUD
Gordon Solie is in the studio for Wrestling News Network, and he thinks that there isn’t a building in the world large enough to accommodate all of the people who want to go to Clash of the Champions VIII. For reference, they booked a 12,000 seat arena, and had less than 3,000 in the building
Lex Luger v Ranger Ross: The NWA United States title is not on the line. Ross (Jim) works so hard making sure that we know that he likes the Atlanta Braves, to the point where it sounds like he has to be lying. Luger dominates, but Ross keeps trying to flash his way into an upset. Luger takes a nasty spill off the middle rope while trying a dive, which looked like a botch, but they roll with it. Until Lex knocks him on his ass with a clothesline anyway, which gets the pin at 5:32. ¼*
Tommy Rich v Bounty Hunter: Yep, another random masked dude. Rich pins his rando ass at 4:29. DUD
Terry Funk is out to host Funk’s Grill, with guests Dick Slater and Gary Hart. They play with dolls to mock Ric Flair and Sting. Haters
Eight-Man Tag Team Match: Michael Hayes, Jimmy Garvin, Samu, and Fatu v Hawk, Animal, Rick Steiner, and Scott Steiner: Fatu and Animal start, and a criss cross ends in Animal powerslamming him. Tags, and Rick backdrops Garvin, then hits a clothesline. Everyone comes in for a standoff, and Gorilla Monsoon would be so happy, because there are multiple referees out there. They all continue to posture, with the babyfaces controlling. Scott ends up getting into trouble, and the heels go to work in cutting the ring in half on him. Finally, things break down into a big brawl, and Scott puts Hayes away with a sunset flip at 11:47. This was just kind of a big, messy thing. ½*
BUExperience: You can skip it this week, it won't be on the test.
