From Liberty, New York; Your Hosts are Jim Ross and Todd Pettengill
Davey Boy Smith v King Kong Bundy: This is Ross’s return, ‘from vacation,’ per Todd. They do some measuring early on, and Bulldog gets the better of a power showdown. Smith gets a standing side-headlock on, but Bundy forces a criss cross, and catches him with a backelbow. He looks to add an elbowdrop, but Davey dodges, and gets Bundy in an armbar. Bulldog goes for a slam, but Bundy blocks, and pounds Davey down. Bundy dumps him to the outside, but Ted DiBiase is such a shitty manager that he doesn’t even take a cheap shot. That’s just sad. Bulldog hustles back in with a series of rights, but another attempt at a bodyslam backfires when Bundy topples him for two. Bundy works a chinlock, but Bulldog escapes, so Bundy throws a knee to keep control. He works Davey over in dull fashion, but misses the avalanche, and Davey delivers the bodyslam, but tweaks his knee in the process. Bulldog rolls out of the ring to regroup in peace, but he’s all fucked up, and the referee stops the match at 7:50. This was not good. ¼*
Kama vignette
Henry Godwinn v Mike Moraldo: Ross and Pettengill do not work as a commentary team. Not that Todd is good with, well, anyone. But Vince can at least try to make it work with his buffoonery, Ross is on a different planet. Godwinn with the inverted DDT at 2:41. DUD
Aldo Montoya v Tony Devito: Why is Todd playing a semi-heel? That’s not a good fit. Meanwhile, Ross gets back in the groove by noting that Montoya is wrestling ‘Danny DeVito.’ Aldo with a 2nd rope twisting bulldog at 2:37. DUD

Bam Bam Bigelow and Tatanka v Chris Kanyon and Nick Barberry: Kanyon should consider passing Bam Bam his number, his team with Tatanka might not last, and he could be looking for a new partner. Bigelow with the flying headbutt drop at 2:53. ¼*
Kwang v Chris Avery: This gives them a chance to hype up the Tuxedo match between Harvey Wippleman and Howard Finkel, which pretty much sums up Kwang’s direction at this point. Kwang with a superkick at 1:26. DUD
Raymond Rougeau brings Jeff Jarrett and Roadie out, so Jeff can hype up his residency in Vegas. Plus his shot at the Intercontinental title. You know, that old thing
Royal Rumble ad
Razor Ramon v Rich Meyers: The WWF Intercontinental title is not on the line. Maybe if Meyers focuses on headlining in Vegas, he can get a shot. The Razor’s Edge finishes at 2:05. DUD
BUExperience: I’m disappointed Ross didn’t slap Pettengill by the end of the hour. You could hear him losing patience by the second.
