Original Airdate: December 7, 1996
Your Hosts are Todd Pettengill and Sunny from the control center
We start with clips from London England ten days ago, where Sycho Sid was wrestling Steve Austin, and things quickly broke down when Davey Boy Smith and Bret Hart got involved
WWF Champion Sycho Sid calls in, promising to finish his deal with Bret Hart at In Your House. He stays on to take some questions from viewers
Royal Rumble ad
Chris calls from Florida, wondering if Sid will need to resort to tactics like he did at Survivor Series against Bret
Richard from Pennsylvania faxes in, wondering if Sid is more concerned about Bret coming up, or Shawn Michaels at the Royal Rumble
Tim calls in from Alabama, and thinks it’s great that someone from Alabama is finally WWF Champion. Sid is too kind to correct him (he’s from Arkansas)
Jamie calls in from Missouri, wondering how Sid will counter Hart’s speed
Monday Night RAW ad
Vic Venom swings by to stand up for New Yorkers everywhere
Chuck calls from Florida, and thinks whomever hits their finisher first is going to walk out of In Your House with the belt
Todd calls from Indiana, but he stutters, so Pettengill mocks him, and hangs up on him. Pettengill could be an asshole sometimes
Rod calls from Texas, and thankfully doesn’t stutter
The Footaction Slam of the Week is Marc Mero hitting a shooting star press on Hunter Hearst Helmsley
Bob Backlund storms into the studio, so Todd calms him down with some word association games
Craig calls from Florida, warning Backlund not to trust Iron Sheik. Remember Pearl Harbor
Paul calls from Ohio, and thinks Backlund has been setting Sultan up in easy matches, and he wants to see him against some actual stars
Flash back to December 1983, when Sheik defeated Backlund for the WWF Title
Chris calls from New York, and Backlund tells him to get a job
Brian calls from New Jersey, but he’s only in eleventh grade, and doesn’t have a job either
We take a look at the WWF’s Xpress tour
Todd brings a birthday cake out for Sunny (it’s her birthday, which was a running theme of the show, with practically every caller taking the time to wish her a happy birthday)
Jim Ross calls in, offering thoughts on the Undertaker/Mankind match scheduled for RAW
BUExperience: This was a bad episode of this show, but Backlund ranting was entertaining.
