WWF Monday Night RAW (May 30, 1994)
Original Airdate: May 30, 1994 (Taped May 23)
From Youngstown, Ohio; Your Hosts are Vince McMahon and Randy Savage.
Opening King of the Ring Qualifying Match: Tatanka v Crush: This was advertised as Tatanka/Jimmy Del-Ray, but I guess Vince realized that literally no one would want to see that. Though, considering this match was taped just after last weeks show went off the air, not sure why they didn't just advertise Tatanka/Crush. Usually, bait-and-switches require the better match as the bait, but I guess that's another reason 1994 wasn't exactly a blockbuster for them. They trade wristlocks to start, and Tatanka hits a bodypress off the ropes for two. Crush backs off to strategize with manager Mr. Fuji, and calls for a test-of-strength, then promptly punches him when he goes for it. Shocking, I know. Tatanka fires back with a pair of clotheslines, and a third puts Crush on the floor. Crush with a cheapshot on the way back in to take control, and he chokes Tatanka in the corner, but misses a charge, and takes a 2nd rope clothesline for two. Tatanka gets distracted when Fuji and Chief Jay Strongbow start going at it on the floor, however, and Crush clobbers him for a bearhug. Belly-to-belly suplex gets two, so he cradles Crush for two, and starts JIGGING UP!! Facebuster! Tomahawk Chops! Flying Tomahawk Chop! Standing Neckbreaker! The managers get into it again, however, and the guys spill out to the floor to deal with it for a double countout at 10:00. More of a set up for next week than a fully realized match. ½*

Cute RAW Girl Sign of the Week: RAW All Night
On Superstars over the weekend, Ted DiBiase visited a funeral parlor, and found out that the key to making contact with The Undertaker is cold hard cash. Next week, he visits South America to find the key to getting Shawn Michaels back into the ring
1-2-3 Kid v George South: Kid keeps him at bay with the threat of kicks, but gets punched in the ribs during a lockup, and South hammers him in the corner, but gets snapmarred coming out, and blasted with a series of kicks. Kid with the sliding legdrop, and a bodyslam gets two. Side-headlock, but South side suplexes free, and shoulderblocks him. Kid quickly returns fire with a spinheel kick, and an oklahoma roll finishes at 2:30. ¼*
Jerry Lawler hosts The King's Court, with special guest Bret Hart! Lawler stirs shit up about King of the Ring, but before Hart can kick his ass, Jerry brings Shawn Michaels and Diesel out for protection. They think Bret's lost his mind for signing a match with Diesel where only Bret's WWF Title is on the line (Diesel was Intercontinental Champion at this point), and frankly, I'd have to agree. They're pretty to the point about it all compared to the today’s twenty minute interview segments, and Diesel Jackknifes him as a preview of things to come
The Smoking Gunns v Austin Steele and Reno Riggins: Bart Gunn starts with Riggins, and literally nothing happens until he tags Billy Gunn with a crucifix for two. Swinging neckbreaker hits, but Bart misses an elbowdrop, and Steele gets the tag. Bart cuts him off with a shoulderblock and a bodyslam, then back to Billy for a flying bulldog. Bodyslam, and Bart comes back in with a pair of shindrops. Hanging vertical suplex/dropkick combo, and the Gunns finish Austin with the Sidewinder at 3:39. I don't know what was up with Bart tonight, but he looked like a total dork out there, with Billy looking like the star. Which he eventually was, so I guess it all worked out. ¼*
Todd Pettengill announces that President Jack Tunney has ruled that Tatanka and Crush will wrestle again next week in another King of the Ring Qualifying Match - Lumberjack style!
WrestleMania Revenge Tour promo
Jeff Jarrett v Chris Hammerick: Hammerick manages a quick armdrag into an armbar, so Jarrett complains of hairpulling, and the referee actually buys it, and forces a break. Holy shit. Hammerick goes back to the armbar, but the referee doubts Jeff's claims a second time, and forces Jarrett to wrestle his way out. Criss cross allows Jarrett a stungun, and he follows with a dropkick, then a slingshot suplex to set up a 2nd rope fistdrop. Backdrop, and the Figure Four finishes at 4:00. The hairpulling bit was cute, I guess. ¼*
BUExperience: Nothing good in ring, but this weeks dragged a lot less than the last episode.
